Is that a Crochet Plushie?

All of the items at my vendor shows are handmade (yes by me) and most are crocheted. However, I do love to cross stitch, diamond dot, knit, and even spin my own yarn with my Kromski spinning wheel. 

So how did I get started? I learned how to crochet in girl scouts, picked up knitting from my neighbor when I was around 10 years old. My sister in law taught me how to spin and my daughters introduced me to cross stitching and diamond dots. I give kudos to ladies that quilt and weave - you are all blessed! 

In 2023 I rejoined the vendor/market community and fell in love with the looks on my customer and potential customers faces when they see a plushie that touches their heart....hence the reason I continue to make these cute adorable amigurumi pets ready for adoption.  I can tell you a story or two of the stuffies that I still have to this day or ones my children regail over.....for example my daughters "Goodnight Moon Rabbit" that her sweet uncle gave her over 25 years ago. Seriously, most people show pictures of their babies and pets - I pull up the pictures of my latest creations. I almost always hand out one of my business cards and promote my social media and website.

Believe it or not my crocheting is a hobby.......I'm a software developer during the workday but use my fiber arts as a reset activity.  When do I crochet? just about any time.....I get up early in the morning and have set up a small nook to curl up with my coffee, afghan and a small project; currently prepping for the upcoming year and making lots of little sea animals....there will be a blog about this coming soon. I will crochet passenger princess (thank you Camryn for the term) in the hubbys truck or while we are watching tv in the evenings.  I've even been found being artistic at our church during bible study.
